SpoolmaX requires minimal configuration,
data entry and set-up due to information being made available from other
MatriX applications. Data fed to this module also provides the fabrication
team with quick and easy access to useful information, making their work
more efficient; this data includes the delivery status of component items
and basic pipe line data (such as the specified hydro-test pressure).
The system incorporates a Punch-list facility that enforces problem
close-out by authorised personnel. The enquiries allow visibility of any
problems for any Line, Hydro-test pack or Spool. It also provides an audit
trail describing problems and resolution actions.
The system is intended for data recording by staff from the
Fabrication/Erection or Quality Control departments. Data entries are
restricted according to the user’s profile that will identify the relevant
department. The reference data fed to SpoolmaX includes data gathered
during engineering material take-off (using QuantimaX), material order and
receipt data (from ProcuremaX and StockmaX) and planning prioritised
material apportionment data (from ControlmaX).
SpoolmaX provides the facility to identify which Spools will make up a
Hydro-test pack (HTP). The progress of hydro-testing is then monitored
within the system. The system provides views of the data based on:

be located easily and quickly.
SPOOLS

Data can be maintained in the spread-sheet
style, tabular format or via a single page view for each spool. As with
all list displays, there is facility to Save to Excel. A wide range of
analysis and reporting actions are then possible within Excel.
PUNCH LIST

When adding a punch-list item, a Spool must
be entered and the system will generate the punch-list item number.
Punch-list items can be added by staff from either Fabrication or QC. The
fields to record closing of a punch-list item are restricted for
maintenance only by QC staff.
